My educational leadership journey spans over three decades, beginning in urban schools within the Philadelphia area. In 2016, my path led me to Northern Maine, where I transitioned my focus from urban to rural education. Initially serving as a Pre-K through 12 principal, I now proudly hold the position of school superintendent. My commitment to leadership is deeply rooted in the principle of wellness, which I consider vital for both educators, leaders, and students.

During my tenure at Rural School Unit 89, Katahdin Schools, we garnered recognition for our innovative outdoor learning initiatives from the Commissioner of Education. Additionally, our high school graduated 100% of our seniors, earning accolades from U.S. News & World Report in both 2022 and 2023, affirming our dedication to academic excellence.

My commitment to learning and nature connection inspired me to become one of the founding members of the Katahdin Children and Families Foundation, an organization grounded in the belief that nurturing healthy families fosters strong communities, benefiting generations to come.

On July 1, 2024, I embraced a new challenge as the Superintendent of Schools for the Bangor School Department, Maine’s 3rd largest school district. This transition to a more urban environment invigorates my passion for collaborative work with school and community partners, ensuring that all students within the Bangor School Department are equipped to become productive citizens upon graduation.

My core competencies include leadership and personal development, emphasizing wellness, strategic planning, leading transformative change, fostering teamwork and collaboration, and consistently achieving our collective goals.
